PIP am I eligible? was created by Moonshine
Hi there. I am currently in the ESA support group for mental health issues. Since the government has said that people with mh issues can claim PIP if their mental health, I have been wondering if I meet the criteria. I took the test and it seems I would be eligible for the standard award. My question is this: in the introduction of the claim form it says that people between the age of 16 and 64 can claim it. I don't understand this as I would have thought things get more difficult as I age. I will be 64 in a couple of months and I'm unsure whether or not it is too late to claim. If I turn 64 then does that mean I cannot claim. (It would be a first claim.) Any advice would be much appreciated

AS long as you are under the age of 65 you can make a claim for PIP.
