Evening everyone,
I hope I can pick some wisdom.

I had my esa wca reassessment today, have been in the support group for a 18months.

When booking in at reception with my support worker my manager came to the desk and said that I no longer required a face to face assesment because they had been sent extra medical evidence. I rang the DWP who said they had no notes on this and to contact CHDA directly.

The call handler informed me that as they had not received my ESA50 from the DWP so had contacted a hospital consultant for information and on the back of this withdrew my f2f interview. I am firstly obviously concerned that I may not have been able to give the best account of my situation if they havent looked at my questionnaire and secondly that they couldmt tell me who had given the medical evidence, my consultant has been off for 4 months so I am not assured I have been advocated for properly . I had taken extra copies of my ESA50 with an updated medication regime because the DWP had failed to pass on my forms previously for pip assesment (I retained my pip) for the assessor but as no f2f it couldn't be passed on.

Has anybody any experience of this happening? I know the idiosyncrasies of the DWP are a mystery but do these sequence of events imply a probable outcome for my reassessment?

Many thanks for you thoughts.

Ps. Also when we arrived at the main entrance we were told to walk 30m up the road to what turned out to be a dummy entrance and intercom, to have to return back to the original door where we were let in straight away without the intercom . I know it was 30 meters because there was a big arrow pointing back to the main entrance we tried to access initially. I do not have mobility issues so it would not affect my claim but it seemed a little tactical.i don't know if there are any groups to flag this up with.

A decision to go with a Paper Based Review for ESA is not taken likely as it cannot result in a Fit for Work Decision, of course that does not prevent them moving you to the WRAG although I am not suggesting that this is likely.

Conversely, if you have to challenge the Decision then you are in a strong place to do so, no ESA50, a dubious contact with a Consultant and no face to face assessment all go to undermine the report if it is not favourable.

A Decision should be made in 2-4 weeks.
