Any advantage to requesting assessor's report?

Hello, my PIP assessment took place on 10th May. I have just received a text message from the DWP to say that they've received the written report and that I should receive a decision within 4 weeks.

At this stage I don't know whether or not to request a copy of the report. Is it too early, or too late, to respond to any factual inaccuracies? If the report's recommendations are disappointing I'm nervous of causing myself extra anxiety to no purpose.

I'm also curious to know if it is a common requirement in assessments for those who are claiming due to mental health problems to touch their toes, move their head from side to side, squeeze the assessor's fingers and so forth? I was too nervous during the assessment to question the reasoning behind these physical 'tests', but am still baffled as to the possible relevance.

Thanks in advance.

It's really up to you whether you ask for the report or not, there are pros and cons to your mental health whichever option you choose. There may be a window to deal with any issues raised by the report, before a Decision is made but this is probably only a coupe of weeks away now.

Assessors follow a standard script at the assessment so will still do the physical tests even if the claimants says that they have no problems with this.
