Hi again Gordon, well i had a letter from Atos on Saturday. Letter said health professional had looked again and still have to go to consultation center for my condition affects daily life etc etc. and as soon as appointment is available they will be in touch, i have been in touch with my GP, he has written a letter for me to tell them i am unable to attend my assessment because of my condition deteriorating and definate recommend that i have home visit or telephone assessment, this morning had another letter from Atos with a new appointment at different place, (they are not wasting time trying to make their £50 quid bonus) question is now Gordon it is my intention to send Atos and DWP a copy each , going to send them registered but PO box numbers for both so i was thinking of sending Atos direct to new appointment address not sure about DWP though ? my carer is going to phone them tomorrow to let them know , What are the chances of them Disregarding my Doctors Letter. Thank you,

Yes, send a copy to the same address as your appointment, the DWP copy needs to go to the office dealing with your claim, the address will be on any letter you have had from the DWP about your PIP claim.

I'm afraid I don't know how likely they are to accept what your GP has said it will depend on how strongly they have written about your problems.

Hi again everyone, well so far i have had no reply from either Atos or Dwp from the letters i sent on the 5th of June, i guess that come the date of my appointment will arrive and that will be my second so called cancellation. interestingly enough my MP did not reply to my e-mail . instead passed it on to welfare rights, i have to say in all honesty i am appalled by the advice given to me, i am urged to go for the assessment although my anxiety and depression is now significantly worse than it was before all this started. i am advised to put myself through hell to attend face to face, and give a better account of myself when notes being taken and HP is observing my general appearance , so i have to go and have a panic attack so as to prove what my doctor is already telling them?, it beggars belief that anyone would suggest this .obviously mental health issues are not fully understood, is that what we have to do to ourselves in order to try and satisfy these people and more often than not have 0 point for the horrendous ordeal? i am really at my wits end!

I think it's too quick for the DWP to respond, I would chase ATOS to make sure that they have received the letter and whether they have taken any action with it.
