I had the dreaded letter informing me i am now being changed from DLA too PIP, i suffer from Mental Health Issues and already it is making me Anxious. Last Year i was kicked off ESA Support Group to JSA, after Tribunal where i was let down with representation and could not say in front of person who accompanied me how exactly my illness affects me, as they did not know, i won appeal as in being put onto ESA Work Group and not back on Support Group. I have been trying to get a appointment from my local Mental Health Centre, 3 times now i have asked my Gp to refer me and each time they say they can not see, me. as the only information i have regarding my illness is a letter from back in 2013.

Have you spoken to your GP about the support they can provide you with for your PIP assessment?

Not as yet Gordon, My Gp did provide a letter for my ESA Tribunal though ,so i am sure they would write something, i have Anxiety panic disorder depression and Agoraphobia , and it is difficult for me to get anywhere. But the Gp's letters do not seen to carry as much weight as those from Mental Health Team. As i mentioned i have been put onto the WorkGroup of ESA and i have had phonecalls from Job Centre as i am unable to attend without it causing me distress. My next Question would be how long can i re apply to have my ESA looked at again. If i can get an appointment with Mental Health Team as i have asked GP yet again to refer me. this has been going on since February. Back and Forth, since February , i now have had a massive outbreak of Psoriasis , it is currently all over my body , where it has only been on my elbows and knees since i was 10 yrs old. I am also due to see a Rheumatoligist again as i am experiencing and lot of difficulty in movement with my knees and elbows and part of Psoriasis can develop into Phsoratic Arthritis or something like that. I do not have a appointment to see Dermatologist until October and that is at a Hospital too far away for me to get too .

If the ESA Decision was less than 13 months ago then you can still challenge it but it will be based on your conditions and limitations as they were last year.

If your conditions have worsened then you can notify the DWP of a Changeof Circumstances but be aware this will result in a full reassessment of your ESA claim, new form and almost certainly a face to face assessment, the new Decision whatever it is, will supersede your existing award.
