Well after my PIP review almost two weeks ago I received the assessors review which I requested. Well she was really lovely to me, offered to help me when I was struggling to walk into the assessment room after stopping three times at a snail's pace

Even though I had the assessment recorded, the report was full of inconsistencies and to be honest blatant lies. She said I walked normally at at a good pace without stopping both into and out of the office 22 metres. Rubbish! 22 metres isn't 50 meres anyway

She put down that I went shopping with my carer and walked for 45 minutes pushing the trolley for support but needed to keep stopping for a rest, then she marked me zero as I could walk for 45 minutes and when I said 45 minutes I said from leaving home to returning.

To cut a long story short the report is full of these inconsistencies and misinterpretations. In my previous two assessments I scored more or less the same and was put on higher mobility and lower daily living both times.

She scored me zero for everything!

Is there a chance the DM will overturn this as the inconsistencies are so frequent and she contradicts herself two ir three times?

On the medication piece she just states I take medication for severe anxiety and depression but doesn't say what medication or strength. She never mentioned my deformed leg, due to limping so badly for nearly 40 years nor my support which I wear all the time when out even though I was wearing shorts.

Sorry but at mo am at my wits end. She had no right to report some of my mental health issues as she was only a nurse and not qualified.

The report even had her name tippexed out which I managed to scrape off with a knife. I also gave her more additional info which she assured me she would send to the DWP. She didn't send it no record on the report.

I just feel ilke giving in completely at this moment.

I'll be honest with you and say that the DWP are most likely to follow the recommendations of the report, however, there may still be a narrow window for you to make comment on the contents but you will need to be quick.

You can write to the DWP office dealing with your claim, pointing out the issues you feel that that the report contains, try and stick to areas that will lead to your scoring point, anything else will distract and dilute your message.

Make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against and have shown how you meet it and remember that you need to be able to complete all of the PIP activities, reliably and on the majority of days.

Thanks Gordon, yes I phoned Atos to put in a formal complaint and they needed to get an Atos psychological nurse to talk me round taking tablets and opening a bittle of nurse. Was 45 minutes talking to her.

Anyway I saw sense and phoned the PIP helpline who advised me to write telling them what I disagreed on. So have done as you advised and sent it first class recorded next day delivery guaranteed.

So that's that sorted so will have to wait for the outcome.

Once again, thanks Gordon.

The pyschological nurse from Atos must have phoned my GP as he phoned me after surgery that evening to see if I was OK. After a 15 minute conversation he said he would back me so at least I've got that.

He said that she had no idea about mental health or she she would have realised that the disage I take is a major issue.

To be honest I feel like getting a taxi to the assessment centre and telling her to her face but no way will they let me do that, or will they?

Well, last time I had any correspondence from the DWP was dated the 5th of July. I've phoned them several times and all they say is it's with the DM. Last time I phoned them was yesterday.

I have sent additional info but am waiting on the result before I get my GP involved again. That way I can hit them with something fresh, so to speak.

I just wondered if the long hold up is because they are taking so long with the extra info etc that I've bombarded them with.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Cheers.
