Ok but I have already sent my mr off now and I did look at the pip points before I completed my claim and the guides to filling in my forms. I will have to wait and see how my mr goes now.

What reasons are given for your failing to score?

Hi Tracy We must have had the same assessor. (lol) My daughter had her assessment last month and I am finding it extremely difficult to read the report. I represented my daughter throughout the whole of the process and yet the assessor states that my daughter spoke clearly ,independently and without prompting throughout the full assessment. I must have been at a different assessment to what took place as I prompted and helped my daughter throughout the whole assessment. I have looked after my daughter throughout all of her difficult and traumatic life. She has Aspergers and suffers greatly with depression and anxiety and has on several occasions tried to take her own life. I explained to the assessor that I have to take care of her medication due to my daughters unpredictability and yet in the report she states that my daughter is able to understand what medication she is on and when to take them therefore she is able to do this for her self. The assessment that took place is definately not the on e that we attended and I am planning to do a mandatory reconsideration and if needs be go to a tribunal. I find it so difficult to believe that the assessor failed to identify the major implications I provided her with and what it would mean to my daughter to become financially destitute. Conscious cruelty is too light a term to use. I hope you move forward on yours and good luck.

My reasons are that she failed to state I don’t leave the house alone which I can’t make any journey alone because of severe anxiety and distress..too much to write on here sorry..but basically all due to lack of motivation and prompting and the nurse failed to put that down .

OK so if you are unable to go out then the most you would score would be fpr Descriptor (e) and 10 points, with the 4 from Moving Around this would give you an Enhanced award, however, you will need to show not just that you cannot go out but that doing so causes your "overwhelming psychological distress", this is far more severe than anxiety and will also require you to have a diagnosis that is consistent with your suffering "overwhelming psychological distress".
