Hi,
I have been in the ESA Support Group since turning over an appeal in Sept 16, the judge recommended that I shouldn't be assessed again before Sept 18, I have just received a letter this morning from Health Advisory Service requesting that I complete a ESA50 form & return by 17/8/18 .... just this mean its all starting again from scratch ?
Do I count this as a new claim, all my disabilities are degenerative - do I give them all the medical info that I used for my successful appeal in Sept 16 or do I have to provide new ?
I had a quadruple Heart bypass in 2003 & one of my bypasses as recently failed, I'm obviously under a consultant cardiologist but he's unsure how or 'if' this might be repaired, I'm obviously suffering from chronic angina, struggling to walk anywhere and on a lot stronger medication .... my question also is do I mention all this in the ESA50 because as of the moment I haven't told them of any change in my health as everything was going on ticketyboo & I didn't want to upset the apple cart !! my query being if they knock back my new claim ( which they are renowned for ) I presume I would have to make a new claim for ESA & I'm under the impression it has to be a new illness - which my failed artery would be - I am obviously looking at the worse case scenario !! By the way I'm also in receipt of PIP @ standard rate for both components. thank you in anticipation.

This is not a new claim for ESA so the rules on new conditions does not apply, however you should treat it as a new claim and complete the ESA50 in detail and supply evidence as you can, even if it was submitted before.

Do you know how you qualified for the Support Group, the Decision Notice from your Tribunal should indicate this?

Please make sure that you use our ESA Claim guides to help you complete the form, although the ESA Descriptors and Regulations have not changed there have been updates to the DWP guidance that you may need to be aware of.

Thank you again for your brilliant advice,
I received my letter this morning confirming that I will remain in the Support Group, thankfully this was done without the need for a stressful ftf, their is no mention of dates though , my last was 2 years but that was after appeal , my conditions have worsened which they will be aware of from the medical evidence I forwarded - any thoughts ?
Many thanks again Gordon.

Many congratulations on the award, well done.

You will have to contact the DWP office dealing with your claim for information about when you are likely to be reassessed.
