PIP condition improving, notice before stopping?

My health has improved over the past year to the point where I now want to begin the process of getting back to work etc. I've spoken to ESA and they've recommended I do some permitted work at first which makes sense. I've called PIP and they are sending me out a reassessment form to fill in.

I am 100% certain that my health has improved enough for me not to be eligible for PIP anymore, I am ok with that. My fears are about a 'cliff edge exit' from PIP!

PIP currently represents a significant amount of my income, I have secured a zero hours job I can start with just a few hours a week, but it nowhere near makes up for the loss of PIP and I will need to find my feet for a few months before gradually increasing my hours.

So my question is does pip give you any notice or warning period when they decide you are no longer eligible? When they make a decision will they say 'you are no longer eligible, you will be paid till this date (say 4 weeks ahead?) and not after that' or will they say 'We've decided you're not eligible and your payments have stopped from the date of this decision' (ie no more payments) or god forbid even worse "you are not eligible and we have stopped your payments from the date you told us about the change and therefore you owe us X amount of money!'

Ive searched all over the internet and govt websites but cant find any reference to what happens when you health improves and you come off PIP.

Im trying my hardest to plan this all out and avoid being too stressed by money so just need to know what to expect so I can plan for it!

Thank you :)

PIP is paid four weekly in arrears, if you PIP award is removed then you will receive one normal payment and possible one part payment depending on when the Decision is made.

Thank you Gordon, do you know if they date the decision from when you call telling them there is a change or from the date they make the decision?

It's the date that the Decision is made.
