PIP and ESA assessment was created by Lol57
Can anyone tell me whether it's normal practice to receive a face to face assessment for ESA after a few months of having a PIP assessment?
In February this year I was placed in the enhanced rate for daily living and mobility. Yet shortly after received a ESA application form to complete, even though I was already in the Support group. I have now received an appointment for a face to face assessment for ESA.
Surely this can't be right?

Reassessments are issued by the ESA and PIP computer systems so it is a coincidence that your ESA is so close to your PIP claim.
When were you last assessed for ESA?

Thank you
Approximately 5 years ago.
I was under the impression that if you were in the enhanced rate PIP after a PIP assessment, you wouldn't need another assessment for ESA, especially a few months later

I'm afraid there has never been any such rule.
If it is five years then you have been very lucky, the normal maximum period between ESA assessments is three years.
