Changes to PIP guidelines? was created by ianinpain
Dear Moderator
In recent days I have caught-sight of written information from several reliable sources that this summer the government are introducing new guidance which will mean that people with the most severe, life-long conditions will no longer have to attend regular reviews in relation to their Personal Independence Payment awards.
I would greatly appreciate if you could advise me of the details regarding the new guidance that is coming into operation.
As always I appreciate your professional and invaluable response.

Hi Gordon
Thank you for your prompt reply regarding the proposed changes to PIP guidelines.
Like most other government legislation it is shrouded in ambiguity e.g. the words "light touch",
For those of us who have been awarded both PIP components at the Enhanced Rate we will have to wait in suspense until a number of persons in a similar position regarding the PIP award experience exactly what the "light touch" incorporates.
Instead of lessening the worry of each PIP claimant they will be held in anxiety for at least the next 6 years; this being the most likely minimum time-award period that will be receiving the "light touch"
