My mum has got to have a home assessment, is this a good sign or not? What should she expect please?

It's usually a positive thing as it is an acceptance that her conditions would prevent her from attending at their offices.

You don't mention the benefit but both are ESA and PIP claim guides have sections on the assessment and the questions likely to be asked.
