F2F Interview Cancelled with 50 minutes to go! was created by LA68
I was meant to have my f2f assessment at a centre Wednesday 3pm. At 2.10pm they phoned me just to check “I was attending my appointment”. I said I definitely was. At this point I had booked my taxi. Then at 2.15pm they phoned me back and said it was cancelled as they were short staffed. Surely they could have told me that around lunchtime.
Then he was insistent he had no appointments free till Monday 10th September when I’m back at work. I asked for an afternoon appointment due to how my conditions affect me in the morning. He said they didn’t do afternoon appointments and said that they get so behind with morning appointments, that these stretch into the afternoon. He pushed his agenda of why I’m better off with a 0900 appointment, and I told him about it not being good for my health conditions.
I’ve read your sticky post about writing a letter of complaint and I will.
My question is, should I mention any of this in the f2f meeting next week? It’s affected me really badly since it happened as my mental health has plummeted. It took me a lot to get psyched up and now I’ll have to do it again next week. I have mh and physical health conditions.

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
You should raise it at the assessment if it has resulted in your conditions worsening, even if only temporarily, I would not mention it if you would be doing so just on the logistical issues of the appointment being cancelled and needing to be re-booked, the assessor will have no interest in this.
