Son in receipt of IB/ESA (support group) and DLA/PIP for 14 years (DLA awarded for life) (care and mobility) because of a brain injury. Lost all PIP at review. Failed at mandatory review - seemed to be rubber stamping exercise of original decision. In the meantime ESA up for review as well. Just heard ESA renewed in support group. Will ESA award be helpful in PIP tribunal appeal? Many thanks
It may but you will need to show the relevance of the ESA award to the PIP activities, although there are some areas of crossover, even where there are the criteria can still be different,
Gordon
