DLA Appeal hearing for child was created by brokendown25
Hi There
My daughters appeal hearing has been adjourned so that an oral hearing can be heard they feel they need oral evidence to make their decision and have asked that my daughter does not . I feel really anxious about this I did explain that I find it overwhelming and very upsetting to talk about her chronic health conditions and personally I am fearful I will not be able to get the message across to them. I feel that I am going to be quizzed and this is very worrying I did make them away that of tis some time ago buy it has fallen on deaf ears and now they want an oral hearing oh my gosh what am I to do
I really need your help and guidance .Many thanks

Although the letter says that the Paper hearing was adjourned so that an oral hearing could be carried out you do not have to attend if you do not want to, you can still opt for another Paper hearing.

However, by asking you to attend the panel are saying that they may find it easier to make an award if they are able to speak to you about your daughter's problems, one of my comments to your original post was that she seemed to have more than enough problems to warrant an award and that the reason she had not received one could be that you have not explained her problems in a way that justifies a DLA award, the same may be happening with her appeal.
