PIP Tribunal Delay was created by Justmehere
Hello
My claim was put in September 2017. I have now been told the earliest my tribunal date will be January 2019.
The professionals involved in my care are happy to write to them, but what do we say?
The money could really benefit my health but I can't plan, and the date keeps being extended.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Ideally, you need to need them to explain how you meet the Descriptors for each of the PIP activities. If it will help there is a GP Notes document in the PIP area that they can either complete or use as a template for their own letter.
You need to go back through your claim form, the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have explained how you meet the PIP criteria. Remember you need to be able to complete the PIP activities reliably and on the majority of days.

Thanks.
Maybe my question was not clear. Is there anything I can do to get the tribunal date? They keep pushing the time frame. There seems to be no end in sight in terms of when my appeal will be heard.

You may be able to expedite the hearing by claiming financial distress or that the delay is causing your health to deteriorate, you will need medical evidence to support this.
