After having my PIP stopped last November I have finally got a tribunal date for this November but it is on the only day of the month that I can’t go because I have an important family event I would like to try and attend despite my anxiety. Will I be able to rearrange or will I be penalised for doing so? I very much doubt that after over a year of not receiving PIP I will be awarded it and have over a year of payments backdated - I don’t have that much faith in the system to be honest.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Contact the Tribunal Service and explain the situation, I'm afraid it's at the discretion of a Judge and they may be resistant to moving the date.
