Dwp telephone offer!! was created by janegoodman@hotmail.co.uk
Hi, had telephone call out of blue from DWP. Had completed MR pip award reviewed a second time and again only given standard rate for mobility. This DWP call said my claim had been reviewed again an I was offered standard rate living (1 point of enhanced rate, was on enhanced rate before this review) and enhanced rate for mobility. This is to be back dated & award is for 5 years. This is all from using evidence sent with claim pack back in December 2017. I feel cheated that I am only 1 point off the enhanced living rate but don't think my health will take the stress of going to tribunal to fight for the point, although my evidence and GP have written that my health has declined in the last 2 years. I haven't accepted or declined DWP offer, my husband took the call and asked them to phone back Tuesday, to give me time to think. I'm numb at the moment and don't know what to think or do. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

You have a number of options.

1. You can accept the offer and wait for reassessment.

2 - You can reject the offer and continue on to appeal. The DWP offer will influence the panel but only if it is made in writing, ultimately the panel will make their own Decision.

3. You can accept the offer and then request a new appeal but this will be from scratch and you will go to the back of the queue for a hearing.

As there is only one place that you can score the extra point so in reality, you are looking at having to score two extra points either from one of the activities that you did score from or from one that you did not.
