about old age pensioner on DLA was created by Har piara singh
I will 69 on dec 4th ,i am on DLA higher rate,i have osoarthrits,angina,highblood pressure,prosatate(going passing water many time in night,some time wetting clothes.
if i apply far Carer's Allowance as my look after me,have i have to go far re -exminaition by their Atos.

Hi,

Your posting isn't too clear, but there is more about Carers Allowance here:

Bearing in mind your age, you cannot receive State Pension and Carers Allowance together as they are classed as overlapping benefits. However it may allow an 'underlying right' to Carers Allowance which could affect any means tested benefits claimed.

You must satify the conditions given in the links above, but it should not involve the carer having an ATOS medical.
