Supporting evidence was created by jamesy
hi everyone, today i will be posting my ESA50 to Atos and a copy of everything to my local DWP office fao the decision maker, do you think that you can send too much extra info, i have added about 12 extra A4 pages on how my condition effects my day to day living plus support letters from my GP and physchologist because i am currently in support group with mental illness would they assume that as i am mentally ok because i managed to deal with the form (it was actually my wife who dealt with it)i actually suffer from severe anxiety, depression and panic disorder, i have not left my home in 20 months apart from attending CBT therapy with my phsychologist support letter also confirms that i am about to start gradual exposure therapy with her, thanks for reading this and any comments would be appreciated

Hi jamesy,

I think the important thing is to tell the decision maker everything you think is relevant and not worry about whether it's too much or not.

But there's nothing to stop you making it very clear that it was your wife who did most of the compiling of evidence for you, so long as agree that it is accurate.

Good luck,

Steve

How do you know where your local decision maker is and the address/dept to send it to? Do you have to try ringing up the DWP and work your way through a maze of different depts?

I sadly only have a letter from my GP to back up my claims as I can't afford to see the private hospital that originally diagnose me and my local chronic pain clinic wouldn't write me one even though I offered to pay for it as they said it wouldn't do any good as ATOS and the government won't listen to Consultants anymore. :(

IT can't hurt and it might mean they properly read it :)
