Medical letter for ESA

What do I need a medical letter to say. I can get a letter from my daughter private specialist but have been told to inform what information I require in the letter.
Any ideas? Is there an sample letter anywhere so I could get an idea what is required.

The contents required of a medical letter very much depends on an individuals circumstances.

Please look at the ESA claims guide and in particular the descriptors. Consider what descriptors your daughter should score points for. You can then ask for supporting evidence from the private specialist that your daughter satisfies the descriptors.

I'm not sure if you need the medical letter to support an ESA50 or appeal but you basically want the private specialist to confirm the level of disability that your daughter has claimed.

Our GP suggested that we write a summary/update of my partners disability and affects to help him complete reports. I am not an expert, but the summary we wrote the CAB liked and added to our ESA application. At least this way we know the GP has the correct info as far as we are concerned, but I guess it depends on the relationship and quality of your doctor.
