You are right it is very confusing. If you can get a one to one with welfare rights or CAB will help. You understand time limits on appeals as discussed on previous comments.
Do not panic and looking at the guides regarding appeal will help.
You do not have to explain all reasons for appeal within one month, only a reason why you want to appeal.
On appeal it will automatically go for reconsideration and you may get a result. If not do not give up as so many, fight and gain support from this site.
Do not pay money out to so called independent benefits advisers who are vultures on the disadvantaged.

Rachel beat me to it - this is absolutely ridiculous!

How many cases have there been this week of extremely poorly people who expected to be migrated to the support group, ending up in the WRAG without a medical?

I have already alerted Mind to this issue and intend writing to Dame Anne Begg MP(Chair of DWP select committee).

This is appalling. It is not only effecting vulnerable claimant's wellbeing - such a policy could lead to massive financial loss for some.

Coleen - I wish i had a better understanding of the support group criteria in order to point you in the right direction.

As Gordon and bro58 have advised - please refer to the support criteria in the guides and consider 'exceptional circumstances' if none of the others seem to apply.

I would encourage anyone in this position to appeal if you feel you meet the support criteria and consider contacting support agencies, your local MP, Prof Malcolm Harrington (WCA inquiry), Anne Begg MP(Chair of DWP select committee)and complaint's departments etc, if you feel the WCA is either flawed or not applied fairly by Atos Healthcare/a JCP decision-maker.

Best wishes

We might expect support group, but we have all seen the regulations for months .. we have all been posting questions hoping people will say sure your going to make support group its like we hope they will convince us what we hope will happen..when at the end of the day the regulations are designed to keep numbers in support low

one thing they got right was when they said "the very sick" will go in support group they where not kidding

I have not got my ESA50 yet but like others I am working on the paperwork and looking how to get in support group :)

I like everyone are sure I should be in support group :silly:

I am making my case by being blunt and have wrote I should be in the support group because and given chapter and verse of regulations to each reason for support group

You can only provide evidence on your behalf.
Regardless whether this is sufficient for the DWP for them is irrelevant.Fight for what you believe.
