WFIs interviews while appealing?

The actual wording suggests that you do not have to attend WFI's while awaiting the outcome of an appeal

not while you are awaiting an appeal.

Since most people are told the outcome of their appeal the same day as the appeal, it would be nigh on impossible to attend a WFI on the same day as an appeal

In my opinion it is a worthless, nonsensical statement (c**p! in other words)!

Hi rachel,

"While awaiting the outcome of the appeal" is the question.

In the answer to the question it says "whilst appealing".

However,I can't comment as to the validity of this document, and whether it could be used to enforce the pertinent statement.

cheers

 read that wrong, sorry, must be time for bed!

Well if that's legal, it would be well worth everyone noting and quoting!

It is possible that some of the information is oversimplified, or may become inaccurate over time, for example because of changes to the law.

This sounds like a get out clause?!

Since October 2010, claimants have no longer been required to attend Work Focused Interviews whilst appealing"

Sorry guys, but the reference in question is to claimants appealling after they failed the ESA medical, not where they are appealing to be placed in the Support Group.

It sure would, I remember you posting a link to a document some months ago, re tenders for the works programme, where it more or less stated the same.

I have kept copy of that also, you never know, if you wave both docs in front of the WFI interviewer, they may well take it as fact. LOL

Please don't take that last paragraph as advice it's simply my warped sense of humour. LOL

cheers
