WFI mandatory condition mangement programme

I read somewhere that people with mental health problems in WRAG may have to take part in mandatory condition management programmes. But I was wondering who decides what programme you follow - the one that applies to the illness your GP says you have but didn't get any points for, or the one ATOS say you have but was never an issue for you in the first place? Could you end up getting treated for the wrong thing and not getting treated for the right thing?
My example is that last year at the medical (I've got a fresh medical tomorrow ) she said I had anger management issues and needed to be put on a course. She said this because in reply to one of her questions I said I threw a pile of papers at a wall (once in a lifetime!). The reason I was there was for depression/anxiety/social phobia. Anger was never mentioned as a problem by me, my GP or psychiatrist. Lucky I didn't get any WFIs but I was wondering if I could possibly have been treated for anger management rather than depression etc? Or is it all the same mental health course?

I'm not entirely sure if your WFI advisor would have access to and look at your ESA85. They are required to discuss with you any barriers preventing you from working, which may include more than merely your medical conditions, and they negotiate an action plan with you.

Unless a claimant is particularly uncooperative and reluctant to do anything, it's hard to see an advisor giving a mandatory direction to address anything that the claimant states they have no problem with, when there are other areas that need to be addressed.

Hi, on the grounds that those carrying out the WFI's aren't medically trained and may not have read all my medical notes

if they wanted me to go to any sort of therapy, I wouldn't refuse outright but I would certainly tell them that I wanted to discuss it with my GP first!
