TOPIC: Medical

Medical 6 years 3 months ago #67381

Been to Medical. Told that they would review we in 6 months time. Also the lady told me that if I had forwarded my information before the date I had with me they might not had seen me at all. My advice to anyone else is any Information send in before the interview date this way it might get you out of having to do a Medical and not as I was advised and that was to take the Information with me.

HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE ELSE.

Hi Ann,

Glad to hear that you gained a good result at your face to face.

Can I ask who advised you to only take the evidence with you, and not send it to ATOS/DWP, as soon as you had it.

Personally I would always advise a claimant to send any medical evidence to DWP/ATOS by recorded delivery, and then maybe take this new evidence to the face to face also, as a back up.

Medical Evidence 6 years 3 months ago #67387

Hi

I was advised to take my medical evidence with me to the medical when I spoke to a member of the ATOS team after I got my specialist's report late after my form had been sent in.

Oh Dear Ann,

I am sorry to hear that you were given such advice.

Hopefully as you say in your other post, other members will gain from your bad experience.

Best wishes

medical report 6 years 3 months ago #67403

Please advise how long I have got to get the medical report after the interview stage. Am I right in thinking that all I need to do is to phone up to get one or do I need to write to them. Please give me the correct procedure.
Sorry for being a nuisance.

Hi Ann,

As you may have noticed I have merged your other two threads together, so you can use the same thread to continue your queries, just by replying to topic, I will merge this also.

As to your question, you can request your ATOS Medical Report from the DWP DM, who should be based at the Benefits Office that deals with your ESA.

As you actually had a face to face, it is an ESA85 report that you request, you should also receive an ESA85S PSS add-on.

You can also request your ESA65, Written Statement of Reasons.

You may phone up to request these, however, I personally would back up any such request in writing, keeping copy, and posting by recorded delivery.

I would make this request at your earliest convenience.

Hope this helps.
