ESA50 was created by tartanman
I'm having a "medical" assessement next week so am trying to do some homework in the hope that some valuable info will make it through my brain fog and blooming stay there for my interorgation. On going over stuff I've noticed questions about conveying food to the mouth etc...
I downloaded the ESA50 and completed it that way after reading benefits of doing so ie more room for info. However the version I downloaded, completed and sent off to the lovely people at ATOS did not have anything re food.
Please help!!! Have I mucked up???

Congraulations on finding another of the catch-22s embedded in the current ESA50 :)

Most of the Support Group criteria are linked in one way or another to WRAG ones, however, there are two that are not, one of which is Conveying Food to the Mouth, the other being Chewing and Swallowing Food.

If you have problems Conveying Food to your Mouth and did not mention this on your ESA50 then you should write a short letter explaining your disability and why you did not include it on the ESA50.

You should then send this and any supporting evidence to your local DWP, the ATOS address where you sent your ESA50 and finally take a copy to your medical to give to the ATOS "doctor" to read, don't forget to retain a copy for yourself.

Thanks Gordon

I will do what you suggested. It's slightly worrying that these questions were missing completely from the downloaded version of the ESA50.If I hadn't noticed by accident I would be none the wiser.
