virtually unable to walk was created by earthspirit
seriously damaged neck causing pain and vertigo with each footstep. danger aspect regarding being alone and falling into traffic etc.

on its own, is this enough to receive higher rate mobility?

Hi earthspirit

We are unable to give specific advice about benefits questions, ie HRM. B&W provide resources in the Members Only section providing help on how to claim, appeal etc.

Having said that, its the help you need when going out that is looked at. If you dont or cant go out at all, you wont get any rate of DLA Mobility Allowance.

Hope this is of assistance.

Regards

Michael

hi,I don't know what the official line is but my award for hr mobility was based on virtually unable to walk but due to complex medical issues which all overlap to make walking very difficult ie: severe pain loss of balance, falls, loss of sensation in leg heart probs. However I think it is not what the diagnosis is but how it actually affects your ability to walk, the distance and recovery from the activity.
sorry I can't qive a clearer answer but I am sure one of the mods will.
best wishes
hassled mum
