Inc Supp to ESA, Two Questions. was created by APOLLO118
My Husband has been placed into the Support group of ESA From the old Income support But...

1. My Fourteen year old son is not on the breakdown of money entitled to us as it was in the old Income Support.

2. My husband is also receiving DLA, Do we need to contact DLA And say he is on ESA Support group and gone from Income Support ?

Thank you.

1. There is no Dependant Addition under ESA, however, the money you were receiving under IB will have been added to your ESA as part of the Transitional Payments. This additional payment will erode over time as your ESA payments increase.

2. The DWP should be notifying the DLA office of your transfer.

Hi APOLLO118
Should you not be claiming Child Tax Credit? It was a long time ago when IS was no longer paid for dependant children and was replaced with CTB. That's what happened to me

The dependent child addition paid with Income Support is to be phased out by the end of this year, but as your husband has been migrated to ESA which does not include the dependent child addition, he should have been informed to claim Child Tax Credit instead.
