GL 24 USAGE

are gl24 forms used only for appeals, or are they used for reconsiderations of ESA decisions?

Hi S,

The GL24 form is used for appealing, on appealing a claimant automatically receives a reconsideration.

A claimant can just request a reconsideration, but if the adverse decision was not changed here, the claimant would then have to submit an appeal seperately,if they wished to do so.

So appealing, would include an automatic reconsideration, so it only involves the one action, rather than the two.
