Hi all,
Sorry to bother you all, My partner suffers badly with depression and serious anxiety, due to a a terrible childhood of sexual abuse for 6 years by Dad. She has serious problems with other men, She only feels safe with me, as ive known her since infant school. As i took her away from any further harm, Now she is a wreck from it all and its very hard to look after her.
she rarely ever wants to go out of the house, as she's petrified as the abuser is local(Never Got justice) And tried hard but her own family went against her and brainwashed her so she lost her case in the end, They all live local.

Anyway she has been on incapacity and trust me if you saw her, you would see why she is on IB.
Buts its now getting harder it seems, She isn't good at explaining herself and they want her to fill out a ESA Form, Would it be ok for me to write on her behalf? Or would that not be acceptable? Does it have to be her only who fills in the form.
I dont want her suffering anymore, would they make her come to a medical if i filled out the form for her because its not from her personally by hand, if im allowed to that is?

Also if you get put on ESA Either groups do they pay for children, as they mentioned about child tax credits, and that ESA Does not pay for children?

I would be very greatful if you anyone can help me on this matter.
Thank You in Advance.

There are two scenarios with regard to your answering the ESA50 on behalf of your partner.

(a) You complete the form on your partners behalf, but in effect using her words. In this case it would probably best to complete it in the first person, as if she had written it, but indicate on the form that you have transcribed her words.

(b) Your partner is unable to participate, and you have to complete the form on her behalf. In this case it is probably better to complete it in the third person, and explain that you have completed the form because she was unable to.

With regard to payments for children, ESA has no components covering this. I'm afraid that Child Tax Credits are not something we can advise on. You can try your local CAB or Welfare Rights office.

The following link to a DirectGov page may be of help.
