I received confirmation today that my daughters appeal has been granted and she is entitled to her DLA middle rate care, lower rate mobility for a further two years.

I am so pleased that we didn't give up and that I found this site. The people here helped keep my spirits up when I was feeling down about this.

It is the beginning of a great new start for her as she will be starting college this year and can now do so knowing that she will still get the help and support that she needs.

Thank you to all who commented and for those who are still going through the process then do not give up.

As I am still a member here I will check back from time to time to see if anything I know can help somebody else.

Good to hear at least some sense prevailed in the end and well done for not giving up. My son was 19 and a typical youth of that age. He thought if he could go so long without medication might allow him to be able to do things such as driving etc .. the Coroner found no trace in his body of meds, so he had not been taking them, make sure she knows of the downside of not taking them. Good luck for the future ...
