As she didn't do the examination will I be called back for that sooner rather than later anyway? Thanks for the great info!

I have just been notified that I have been put into Support Group following my assessment. I was lucky enough to have a sympathetic doctor who could see I was not only very distressed at being there (having had a horrible car journey to contend with) but had great difficulty functioning without the support of my lovely husband. She completed the interview, without me giving a day to day overview and then abandoned the assessment before examining me. On the medical report I received it clearly recommends Support Group, the medical examination part is blank (obviously!) but there is nothing to say when I will be called again. I have gone from a state of relief that I've "passed" to feeling like I'm on the scrap heap and then back to worrying again, wondering when I shall be called to go through it all again..........

Hi A,
The ATOS HCP should have given a "Prognosis" (Recommended length of ESA SG Award) within the medical report.
You may wish to contact the DWP Decision Maker, to obtain verification of the "Prognosis".
You should address any such written request to the ESA Decision Maker, at the address of the Benefits Office on any of the letters that you have regarding your ESA.
Keep a copy, and post by recorded delivery.
You could back up this written request with an oral request over the phone.
