hi all well i dont believe this,i had my medical assessment on the 26 april, just got a phone call from atos saying they have lost the doctors medical report and i will have to be reassessed by another doctor,do they get pleasure from causing all this stress on pensioners,if this was happening to animals there would be outrage.i just feel like telling them what to do with it.

hi, well i had the second assessment today,(see previous post)i was absolutely stunned when the doctor arrived with a colleague(2 of them)is this normal practice,i was not informed about this by atos, although the guy never participated in the assessment i felt very uneasy having to face the two of them.it lasted for 1 hour this time with lots more questions, doctor was quite nice and polite and it seemed to go ok,just have to wait for the brown envelope now.

Hi,

Occasionally a Doctor maybe accompanied by another already qualified doctor who although qualified is actually new to ATOS and is 'under training' to be an EMP. They should take no part in the medical. This sounds like it may ave been in your case.

Also sometimes they can attend 'double crewed' if for example a claimant has made previous allegations about an EMP or there is a potential violent claimant situation (although usually these would be seen at an ATOS centre were security measures are in place). I am not suggesting in the slightest tat these are the reasons in your case, just pointing out other potential reasons where two doctors may attend.

Pete
