Waiting is so stressfull! was created by smithy220
Hi everyone,

I,ve posted on here previously and just wondered if there is anyone in the same position as me and how they felt.

I have been on cb esa for a year and consequently my benefit has ended today, like so many others. I had a medical on the 28 th March, wasn,t too bad and the lady that carried it out seemed quite nice but i know from reading previous posts on here that you can,t read anything into that!

Anyway, was told at the end of the medical that i would hear in 2 weeks -HA!!! Phoned dwp last week and realistically i am looking at 6-8 weeks before i hear anything and to contact them if i haven,t ( even though trying To get through to them onthe phone is a major problem in itself, i,ve taken to travelling to my local job centre and using their phone!)

Anyway, what my moan is and would be great to know i,m definately not the only one is that i am now in limbo - no money as benefit has ended but also no decision as still waiting. How frustrating is this, it,s bad enough waiting for nearly 6 months for the consultant who carried out my fusion last year to have an available appt on the nhs but also to feel as if i,m no- one and that the only place that i get a lil bit of solace is knowing that i am not the only one as nearly everyone on here has as much right to maon and whinge but that i knowi,m understood.

I know what you mean - since I damaged my back my life seems to be a succession of 'waiting' for one thing or another.

We are playing the waiting game too. My husbands ESA(CB)has ended and he had his assessment just over a week ago. It seems that the government do not care about sick and disabled who have contributed through their working life. They are expected to be thankful and wait patiently for their backdated benefit. What other benefit are claimant's made to wait over 40 weeks for their full benefit rate?

Well I heard this morning concerning the decision on my esa benefit. Only got 6 points from 15 so looks like i,ll be appealing as i really don,t see what other choice i have.

I just hope that it isn,t as long and drawn out to hear back from them once i post my appeal as everyone says it is. Seems contradictory that you only have a month to submit your appeal yet they can take as long as they want to acknowledge the appeal.

Oh well, i knew in the bottom of my stomach that this would be the outcome but it still is very upsetting. :S
