Limited capability questionnaire very early

I had my last ESA50 questionnaire around August last year, the date from the nurse who gave her verdict/evidence was mid August. On this form I was given a year as a prognosis for the next one. On my first visit to the Job Centre for my WRAG WFI in October last year I was told it says on the computer that my next assessment would be September 2012. Today in the post I got another questionnaire to fill in and send back within a month.

Any idea why it is no longer a year or September ? I was expecting this letter in September, as mentioned was on computer, and not the start of May, that is 4 months early.

Does this happen often ? Or was something I did or said during a WFI likely to be the reason it was moved forward ? Just wondered if this has happened to anyone else. I don't think I have ever had a reassessment so soon in all the years I have been on IB.

So purely just curious if this is a new thing or what is the likely possible cause of change of dates.

Thanks all !!

The prognosis and subsequent re-assessment date are just recommendations that the DWP are not bound by.

We know that they have been sending out ESA50 in advance of the re-assessment date, although four months would still seem early, but that is assuming that there is rhyme or reason to the process, which may not be the case.

It is unlikely that anything at your WFI triggered the re-assessment, unless you have started Voluntary or Permitted Work.
