well I had my interview

The long and short of it is that someone reported both me and my wife, who is my carer, for working - We are not obviously.

They apparently told them that we were both self employed and that my wife was working as a child minder.

All totally unfounded of course and nothing but a malicious and nasty accusation.

I told the interviewer that it was all a load of rubbish and nothing but lies.

They wrote down my responses and made me sign a declaration.

So what happens next?

Do I get a letter telling me I have no case to answer?

Keith

Hopefully that will be an end to it and you'll just receive a letter confirming that the DWP needs to take no further action, however, it is possible that they will want some additional confirmation, such as your bank statements, to check that there are no regular payments.

Well I Have heard nothing more from them and my benefits are still being paid.

Do you think that is the end of the matter?

If it is why haven't they written to say so?

Hi,

Without contacting them and asking, it is rather impossible to say what the current position is.

Factors such as their workload, staff numbers etc could have a bearing (either way) so it is only by asking you will find out what the current position is.
