Dla medical

Hi to everyone. Thought u would let you know I have had my decision and my Dla will stay the same.

I certainly echo Jim's words about giving other in a similar situation hope, I got notification yesterday I require a medical as part of the RPP. I was scanning the site yesterday looking for any posts by Stickman regarding his medical as I remembered he had one not so long ago.

Great news very pleased for you I know like me it's been a big worry. Can I ask how long from being told you required a medical did you have to wait for a Doctor to contact you and how long from the medical to hear?

Hi karlo. I had a letter by special delivery ( not recorded the next day by 1 pm was used ). I got this on Monday morning and it said the medical was the next morning ( Tuesday ). I know I could have had it rearranged due to the shirt notice but I figured it was better to get it over with. The doctor came and I have to say she was very nice and seemed sympathetic ( although I had read that some are like this then later you find out they had written something completely different ) the medical lasted an hour and involved questions and an examination. I had got all my reports and evidence and medications out for her to look at and I think that helped a lot. After the examination it was nearly 5 weeks until I got the decision that my Dla will stay the same. I hope you and anybody else that is going through this process have an equally good experiance. I've got my medical tomorrow the Doctor phoned up on Friday and originally wanted to come today, however this was convenient. I told him this and he said fine and asked about tomorrow. I said this was ok and he seemed ok over the phone. Just want it over and done with now.
