BTW the "recording medicals" thread doesn't yet include the "Is this true" thread - things are moving fast, I think.

Hi C,

That's because it doesn't actually have' recording medicals' in the text so it won't appear unless a different search phrase is entered. We have no control over what threads appear in a search and the forum software won't allow us to merge threads at present. Hopefully, that will be sorted when the software is upgraded as outlined inn Steve's latest Newsletter.

The forum is overloaded because many members continue to ask questions to which answers have been posted on many occasions in the past and because moderators have serious health issues and aren't well enough to post or are in hospital, thus creating extra work for the moderators who can manage to come online.

I wouldn't like to see Steve have to close down the forum for a week or so as he's had to do in the past due to a lack of moderators.

As you can see, the forum was locked at 10.00 pm and it's now 11.30pm and moderators are still online trying to catch up, when we should be resting.

Best regards.

Jim

This thread has now been locked so that no further posts can be added as we simply cannot expand on this issue without being entirely speculative about what may or may not be happening with the recording of medical assessments, which could result in misinformation.

As it stands, the information contained in the Spotlights Thread about recording medical assessments is the definitive position and members should read the details contained therein. Any further threads which deal with the question of recording medical assessments will automatically be deleted.

This decision was taken today by Crazydiamond and myself as senior moderators for the reasons stated by him.

However, the thread also contains references to things which should have been deleted as per Steve Donnison's instructions in Forum FAQ, an extract which i reproduce below:

Why have you deleted my post ?

Our moderators have two main responsibilities: to protect the site from legal action and to ensure that the forums are calm, friendly places in which the vast majority of our members will feel safe to post. Our moderators often work under considerable pressure, dealing with literally hundreds of posts a day in a highly professional manner, even though they are all volunteers with long-term health conditions.

We feel very proud and fortunate to have such a dedicated and effective team of moderators. But we also accept that moderation decisions will always be subjective and will never be totally consistent as long as they are made by different individuals. As a result, you may not always agree with specific decisions, but we hope you will accept them with good grace and understand that they are made in good faith and with the best interests of the site and its members always in mind.

An example of posts we don't publish ( extracted from Steve's full list) :

Posts which discuss moderators, moderation decisions, the running of the site or the behaviour of other members.
