reassesment was created by J
Hi everyone
My husband was awarded to go in a support group in december and it says that the review date will be due in one year, it also says that after that date we may be intouch with you. Does this mean that they may not too? and will his payments stop when that date arrives? sorry if this sounds confusing jackie

The re-assessment date is advisory, in most cases it is honoured and a new ESA50 is sent out, usually a couple of months months before. In some cases, the DWP may assess a claimant earlier, it is possible that they may assess later, but this would be very unusual.

ESA claims are indefinite and remain in payment until a new Decision is made on the claim, with the exception of the 12 month limit for ESA(CB) for members of the WRAG.

Hope this explains it.

Whilst the period between re-assessments tends to be longer for members of the Support Group versus the WRAG, once the assessment date is approached the process is the same for both groups.
