esa appeal tribunal

hi i have been put in the wrag group and since appeald as i strongly think i should be in the support group -however im concearned - the dwp have said they are going to look at my case again to see if they can change the decsion or not but this is nealrt 3 months ago and i still have herd nothing - what happens about the tribunal do i have to wait for the dwp to make there mind up ethier way will they contact the tribunal service on my behalf or do i have to make a tribunal application form striaght away ? i have fillied a gl22 form in and thats it should i be filling owt else in cheer ?

It is mandatory for the DWP to get another Decision Maker to reconsider your case now that you have appealed. Your case will only be passed to the Tribunal Service if the recon does not go in your favour. This is an automatic process, you do not need to do anything else.

The whole system is very bogged down and everything is taking much longer than normal. It seems usual for people to wait 3-4 months for the result of the recon. After that, if neccessary, you will be sent a 'bundle' containing all your papers and you will await the appeal (which is likely to be another 6 months or so).
