Thank you Gordon, we didn't notify DWP, just his adviser who then sent him the paperwork.
I think it might be advisable for him to stop working as he is really suffering anyway. He just feels really disillusioned as he felt he was trying to do his best and get a job to keep them off his back. But I said all along that this would happen.
