ESA Appeals was created by citymike
Hi All
I have an appeal being heard on Monday, I have been told to arrive by 4pm and that I will be the last of the day.I was wondering if anyone had heard of appeals being cancelled on arrival due to tribunal running out of time.
As well as the appeal I also have a reassessment going on,this has been going for 12 weeks and when I called JCP to see if there was any progress I was told that a decision on the reassessment would be delayed until after the appeal, what does the appeal result have to do with the reassessment.
All of this is causing my anxiety problems to work overtime.
Best Wishes to everyone.

Hi cm,

Yes, it is possible for Tribunal Hearings to be ajourned to a later date if they are running late.

The only thing that I can assume from the re-assessment that you mention, is that if you have a re-assessment and an appeal running in parallel, and you received the result of the re-assessment before gaining a decision from the Tribunal.

Any decision made by the Tribunal would only run from the time of the adverse decision that you have appealed, until the date of the re-assessment decision, so as you can see this could work against you in certain situations, depending on whether the re-assessment decision differed from that of the Tribunal decision.
