The only reason why i am asking if people with these invisible, but very delibiating conditions have asked for or had a wheelchair assessment is because my friend is worried that although she has great problems with mobility, she will not score required points as D/M may assume she can use a wheelchair, when due to her condition and side effects of her medication she could not and would have to provide proof.

Therefore, when she next sees her consultant, would it be advisable to bring this up, or are these assessments carried out on request from a GP or the patient???? Not sure where she should begin to get the ball rolling.
