Universal Jobmatch - ESA WRAG claimants was created by Iris7505
Important for ESA WRAG claimants (and JSA).

DWP's new system Universal Jobmatch starts on the 19th of November. This software will do a number of things including applications and C.V writing but the main purpose is to match Employers with Jobseekers by using filters and options.
Everyone must be aware that they can choose if they give DWP access to their own UJ account, you can say no. If anyone allows DWP to view their account any DWP staff including decision makers on sanctions, will be able to see what job searching activity has taken place, applications made etc.
The new Jobseeker's Agreement(JSAG) form will also have this printed on it-
" I know I must
- apply for any jobs that my adviser tells me to apply for including any saved by my adviser in the saved jobs section of my universal jobmatch account if I have one."
So DWP can save what they like on your account.
As the new sanction policy has changed some people are also worried that this sort of situation might happen-
"On Tuesday afternoon you told me you were at the park with your child. I note from your Jobmatch account you did no searches in line with your JSAG. Your benefit will be suspended and referred for a sanction decision".
Think long and hard about giving DWP access as it's not only the adviser who can view your details.

Thank you for your post, however, I am not sure of the applicability of this to ESA claimants!

As far as I am aware, and I have checked, ESA Claimants are still exempt from having to work, or having to participate in job seeking.

Thank you for your reply Gordon, please note and look at the following link below :"mandatory ESA participants can be required to undertake work related activity that is reasonable in their circumstances"
www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/wp-pg-chapter-2.pdf
This is new government steer to increase the number of referrals to the work programme providers, however, this is complicated but I felt that this may be of interest
many regards

Just to be clear, Work Related Activity does not include working or seeking work, even if a claimant is forwarded to the Work Programme.
