ESA Support group was created by Iris7505
Hi, on 06/02/2012 I was sent a letter from Atos saying that I had been placed in the support group of ESA (ESA 120 letter). I had filled in an ESA50 3/11 and sent all my medical evidence to challenge a previous decision by ATOS putting me in the wrag group. This challenge resulted in my Support Group award. Today I have been sent the identical form - ESA50 3/11. This form states it is regarding transference from Ib to ESA again. Despite my brain thinking that this must be a mistake, (I also get DLA high rate) i can't bring myself to do anything about it as emotionally I am in pieces. I think that this is a deliberate attempt by ATOS to make sure I know they have not forgotten me... I would welcome any advice if anyone has been through the same thing

I can't understand why there is a reference to transferring you from IB to ESA, but I am afraid it is perfectly usual for claimants, even in the Support Group, to be re-assessed on a regular basis.

You might want to ring your local DWP office to confirm that there has been no error in sending you the ESA50, but in the absence of any other information, you must assume that this is a valid re-assessment and return the form, completed in detail, by the date included in the accompanying letter. Failure to do so may result in your claim being closed and at the very least may impact on your payments.

Our ESA guide are available on the following link.

Due to postal delays over the Christmas period, you should consider returning the form earlier than normal.
