Capital Limits while on ESA was created by DaPa
Im a bit confused by the info published below:

data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files...tesfromApril2013.pdf

Has the savings/assets rules changed or have they remained the same?

Not quite sure on the £3,000 limit, can anybody advise?

Regards.

I think you have misread the table, unfortunately the forum s/w does not make it any easier for me to present it :)

upper limit 16000.00 16000.00

Amount disregarded - all benefits except Pension Credit and Housing Benefit for those above the qualifying age for Guarantee Credit 6000.00 6000.00

child disregard (not Pension Credit or Employment and Support Allowance) 3000.00 3000.00

My friend gets Pension Credit, he was previously on IB (IR),and is due the proceeds of the sale of his parents house. Would this affect his Pension Credit?

We don't advise on Pension Credit, however as I understand it PC is a means tested benefit, and therefore any change in capital could effect payments, but they'll need to get face to face advice to confirm this, as it will depend on their current circumstances and the amount of the proceeds.

As I understand it, yes, however there are specific rules regarding this, can I also draw your attention to the phrase "not Pension Credit or Employment and Support Allowance".
