Still on Income Support was created by chafur47
I am still in receipt of Income Support. I have not been assessed as to which group I should be migrated to. I am in receipt of higher care rate AND higher mobility rate of DLA. I am also in receipt of 18 hours per week of care.

Question: With the now new incentive to put those in ESA to work, would this apply to me?

Many thanks

It will depend on whether you are put into the Support Group or the Work Related Activity Group when you are eventually transferred to ESA.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi c47,

If you receive the Income Support due to medical conditions and your incapacity for work, then you will be transferred over to ESA sometime between now and Spring 2014.

I'm afraid that being in receipt of either component of DLA at any rate, or for any period, does not exempt you from any aspect of The ESA WCA process.

I feel that you may be jumping the gun a bit, :) however, if as a result of your migration over to ESA you were placed into The WRAG of ESA, then you would have to comply, just the same as any other WRAG member.

My best advice would be to familiarise yourself with ESA as much as you can, in preparation.

See : IB, IS, SDA, Migration to ESA FAQ’s and ESA FAQ’s .

You could even start filling in The ESA50 questionnaire now, to give yourself a head start, by : Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire whilst referring to our : ESA Claims Guides , 3rd and 4th links down.
