Thanks for help from this site was created by hundi
I just wanted to thank you for saving what little is left of my sanity. Last week I heard that I will be transferred from IB to ESA WRAG after an assessment.

Without the guides I would have found the ESA form ten times more stressful to fill in and probably would not have scored enough points. Also having had mental health " issues " for approx 40 years I am without any kind of support other than the GP (who was not asked for any info, by the way).

The only thing is that I will lose income after 365 days thanks to this awful government as I will not qualify under a means test. However if I understand correctly I will still need to qualify for WRAG to get NI contributions, but at least they won't be able to force me into slave labour once I stop receiving benefit??

Well thanks again and good luck to all members!

Hi h,

Thanks for letting us know, and for your kind words regarding our site. :)

You are correct, if you lose your entitlement to CB ESA after the 365 days entitlement, and cannot pass the IR ESA means test, you will only then receive NI Credits, whlst you continue to fulfill the WRAG qualifying criteria.

As you seem to have grasped, you will still have to comply with the reassessment criteria, but cannot be compelled to take part in WFI, WRA.

The advantage of staying in The WRAG, besides your NI Credits is that if your limitations increase to such an extent that you may qualify for The SG, you can request a supersession, (Review) of your WRAG award.

If successful, payment would be reinstated at the SG rate of ESA, and as there is no 365 day limit with regards to the SG, payment would continue for as long as you remained in The SG.

All the best for Xmas and The NY. :)
