Due to my sickness, is an email sent to JSA (or adviser) and DWP department enough to close my JSA claim?

Since I do not want to stay for a while without any income it should be a zero income claim.

Providing you can continue to meet the requirements of your current JSA claim, there should be no need to close your JSA claim until your ESA claim is accepted.

The DWP don't usually accept emails, so I would ring them and confirm it in writing. I understand that JC+ is closed today, so at the earliest it will be is Thursday before you can talk to them.

Is this possible, because I have already been sick for two weeks so JC told me that with further days of illness I could only apply to ESA and have to close my JSA claim before the ESA can be proceed.

Possible yes, will they allow you to do it, I don't know. It really depends on how soon your ESA claim is processed.

A Happy New Year to you as well.
