Hi, and Hopefully a Happier New Year to Gordon/Bro and all Mods. Can you please confirm that I have this right. Anyone of working age and on DLA, and on lifetime or indefinate awards. Will not be reassessed until 2015/16? Does this mean just people who are on DLA and working? As well as those who are not working? Im a bit confused, still, and on my 3rd year as a member. Thank you to all at B & W for all the info and advice you have given me and are still giving me. I would not have got this far without you!

Whilst the phrase "working age" is often used in connection with the transfer of PIP claimants to PIP, it really is a poor definition of who will be transferred and more importantly is not the legal definition.

The proper definition is that all DLA claimants older than 16 and younger than 65 on 8th April 2013 should expect to be transferred.

A recent announcement by the Minister for the Disabled has suggested that the transfer of DLA claimants with indfefinite or "life time" awards would not begin transfer until October 2015.

The latest information for PIP is available in the Spotlight Area at the top of the topic list.

I can concur with Gordon on this. My wife is 64 years old in April 2013 and she is in receipt of State Pension, as currently for women, state retirement age is still 60 years of age.

She has indefinite awards of DLA mobility and care, but will still have to apply for PIP when she is contacted, most likely not before 2015, unless her claim is subject to the Right Payment Programme.

On the other hand, I am over 65 years of age, so will stay on DLA unless my claim is subject to Right Payment Programme.
